China’s economic rise has ushered a new momentum in global resource governance. The rise of China exposed gaps and deficiencies in existing governance strategies adopted to manage natural resources. In this course, students will examine China’s rise in global governance; explore policies adopted by China to acquire natural resources abroad; and identify key actors and drivers that shape China’s resource policies at home and abroad.
